Electromagnetic flowmeter maintenance and overhaul
1) Always observe the sensor power cable and transmission cable (or wire) for damage and aging, and protect the rubber sheath outside the cable.
2) Regularly (usually six months) scrub the electrode surface with a soft cloth to remove dirt or deposits.
3) Remove debris from the upstream straight section of the sensor.
Electromagnetic flowmeter general failure and its exclusion:
1) The liquid does not flow and has output:
1. There is a disconnection between the signal transmission cable and the converter; 2. The signal cable is disconnected from the electrode connection; 3. The electrode surface is contaminated or an insulating layer is deposited; 4. The grounding is poor or the circuit is broken.
Solution:
1. Connect the cable; 2. Open the sensor and reconnect it; 3. Scrub the electrode surface; 4. Connect the ground wire.
2) No liquid flow output:
1. The signal transmission cable between the converter and the two core wires is reversed; 2. The power supply is not connected or has poor contact; 3. The sensor instrument pipeline, casing, and the end face are leaky.
Solution:
1. Reverse the head; 2. Connect the power supply and maintain good contact; 3. Repair the sensor.
3) The output is unstable:
1. The flow field is unstable; 2. The gas contained in the sensor contains large solid blocks; 3. The virtual connection of the electrical connection; 4. The poor grounding; 5. The electrode leakage solution:
1. Modify the pipeline, or increase the installation of false sensors; 2. Normal phenomenon; 3. Check the wiring, connect the wire; 4. Connect the ground wire; 5. Repair the sensor.
4) The error is too large:
1. The zero is too high; 2. It is not completely filled with liquid; 3. The power supply distortion is too large; 4. The grounding is poor.
Solution:
1. Readjust the zero point; 2. Improve the pipeline conditions, the sensor is always full of liquid; 3. Improve the power supply conditions, in line with normal working conditions; 4. Connect the ground wire.
