Davey Home and Fire Series pumps add new features

Two new features added to the Davey HS Domestic Water Pressurization System are the built-in vent valve and heavy duty stainless steel backflow baffle. The new design is targeted at the company's family of products that handle water from tanks, reservoirs, dams or other Source of household water. The built-in exhaust valve enables faster system startup and maintains pump pressure by removing air that may cause suction line failure. Exhaust gas generally compromises pump performance, and Davey's new design overcomes this disadvantage.

Heavy-duty stainless steel backflow baffles are made of high grade, thick stainless steel that covers the entire cycle of the pump, allowing the pump to have a long and reliable life.

Ashley White, product manager at Davey, said the HS pressurization system, which is typically marketed with the Hydrascan® CL controller, ensures constant pump flow, no pulses, constant flow and prevents damage to the pump during failed starts.

Davey Pumps, another branch of the company, has improved its 2005 Series Fire Power Pump to change the type of pump's outlets from the original three-way to the more versatile four-way. The exit is equipped with a more comfortable manual handle for easy shipping.
