In Chongqing, the auto parts industry has shown strong performance in the first half of the year, with steady growth in sales value and local supply chain contributions. The production value of automobile and motorcycle parts reached 25.5 billion yuan, driven by major manufacturers such as Changan, Changan Suzuki, Changan Ford Mazda, Qingling, CNHTC, Lifan Motors, and Panan Qiqiu. These seven key companies alone contributed over 9 billion yuan in local supporting value. The output value of auto parts hit 12.2 billion yuan, marking a 36% year-on-year increase, and reaching 55% of the annual target of 22 billion yuan. Meanwhile, motorcycle parts and components generated 13.3 billion yuan, up 25% compared to the same period last year. Notably, the growth rate for auto parts was 11 percentage points higher than that of motorcycle parts. New products in both the auto and motorcycle sectors also saw significant gains. The value of new auto parts reached 2.5 billion yuan, rising 32% year-on-year, while new motorcycle parts and components totaled 1.44 billion yuan, surging 47% from the previous year. This indicates a growing innovation trend within the industry. Local support levels have also improved, with the average matching rate reaching 50%, up 2.8 percentage points from 47.2% in 2006. For instance, Hongyan Heavy Trucks had a local matching rate of 40%. Some companies, like Changan Ford Mazda, added more than 200 million yuan in value during the first half of the year. Additionally, 12 new local suppliers joined the supply chain, and 20 new products were introduced, further strengthening the industry's ecosystem.
