Here's a quick summary of the fire apparatus that were responding to the fire at the Lyons Box alarm on Maple Avenue on Sunday. I arrived too late to get much more detail, but here's what I observed. There were four engine companies working in front of the fire station on Maple Avenue. Lyons Engine 1312 was directly in front, with McCook Engine 1411 positioned to the north of them. Riverside Truck 1629 was stationed just south of 1312, and Bedford Park Truck 709 was set up further south. Meanwhile, Lyons Engine 1316 had a hydrant located at the corner of Maple and 41st Place. From there, they laid a long supply line to the Cermak Quarry, where Berwyn Engine 903 was drawing water from a pond. Forest View Engine 813 had been originally assigned to that location but wasn't actively pumping. Finally, Lyons Engine 1311 was stationed at the corner of Joliet Road and Elm Avenue, about two blocks south of the fire building.
