**Wayne L. Stuart**
*January 27, 1949 – August 25, 2020*
A beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, Wayne L. Stuart passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at his home in Orland Park, where he had lived for the past 30 years. He was born in Calumet City and spent much of his life serving others with dedication and kindness.
Wayne was a retired firefighter who dedicated over 40 years to the Skokie Fire Department, where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant before retiring. Before that, he served in Calumet City. After retirement, he continued to give back by working at Kurtz, Anderson, and Goodale Funeral Homes, where he provided comfort and support to grieving families. He also played an active role in the Senior Citizen Advisory Committee in Orland Park, always eager to help his community.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Stuart; his sister, Barbara Stuart; his nephews, John (Dr. Mary) Fitzgibbon and Scott (Lindsay) Fitzgibbon; his great nieces and nephews, Kadyen, Sean, Olivia, and Brad; and his sister-in-law, Barbara (Patrick) Fitzgibbon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Helen Stuart, and an infant daughter, Stacey Stuart.
Due to the ongoing health pandemic, Wayne’s services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to a local fire department or a charity of your choice.

Wayne lived a life of service, compassion, and loyalty. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
