The long-standing collaboration between Holcim and Flyability has finally reached a significant milestone with the highly successful launch of the inaugural European Drone Days. Held at Flyability’s headquarters in Lausanne from June 20th to 22nd, 2023, this event brought together representatives from 15 out of the 16 European countries where Holcim plants are equipped with Elios drones.
The first-ever Plants of Tomorrow (PoT) Drone Days marked a major step forward in integrating drone technology into Holcim's operations. Over three intensive days, the event focused on deepening the understanding of Flyability’s drone technology and exploring new applications within the cement industry. Patrick Thévoz, CEO of Flyability, welcomed the 25 Holcim pilots and plant representatives to the event, urging them to continue pushing the boundaries of drone innovation beyond just product improvements.
