The company's goal is to develop passenger vehicles, focusing on introducing new models that can compete in the market. At the time, it was speculated that the first model introduced would be the highly competitive Mazda 3 sedan. An insider from FAW Car once mentioned that the competition in the domestic economy car and mid-size car segments is extremely intense. While launching a model like the Mazda 3 could attract some attention, the profit margin might not be very high. As a result, FAW Cars is considering introducing a premium vehicle instead. It is believed that the Mazda 9 could be produced in Qingdao, while the Mazda 3 may be manufactured in Nanjing. Although the news about the Mazda 3 moving to Nanjing seems to be confirmed, the plans for the new model from FAW Yuzhong are still unclear. However, last week, the reporter received confirmation that the Mazda 9 will be produced at FAW Zhongzhong, with an annual production capacity of 150,000 units. Additionally, the new factory is expected to bring in advanced production equipment from Japan.
