SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – (BUSINESS WIRE) – Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK) has announced the addition of Betsy Rafael to its Board of Directors, effective September 19, 2013. With over three decades of experience in corporate finance and accounting, Ms. Rafael brings a wealth of knowledge from her leadership roles at major technology companies.

Ms. Rafael left Apple in 2012 after serving as Vice President, Corporate Controller, and Principal Accounting Officer since 2007 and 2008, respectively. Before joining Apple, she held key financial roles at Cisco Systems from 2002 to 2007, including Vice President, Corporate Controller and Principal Accounting Officer. She also worked with companies like Aspect Communications, Silicon Graphics, Sun Microsystems, and Apple Computer. Her career began at Arthur Young & Company.
In addition to her role on Autodesk's board, Ms. Rafael currently serves on the board of Echelon and previously sat on the board of PalmSource. She earned a B.S.C. in Accounting, summa cum laude, from Santa Clara University and is also a member of the university's Board of Trustees.
