**Free Building Performance Analysis Certificate Program Launches**
As sustainability and climate change continue to dominate discussions within the design industry, Autodesk is stepping up its commitment to fostering sustainable practices. Starting today, the company is introducing the **Autodesk® Building Performance Analysis (BPA) Certificate Program**, a free online initiative aimed at architecture and engineering students. This program offers essential training in building science through interactive online tutorials, quizzes, and practical exercises using Autodesk software. By completing this program, students will acquire critical skills that align with LEED accreditation standards while setting themselves apart in the competitive job market.
According to Adam Menter, Autodesk's Sustainability Education Program Manager, "This certificate program is designed to support the growing trend toward performance-based sustainable design. We expect thousands of students to complete the BPA program by the end of the year, and we’ll soon roll out a professional version of the course later this fall."
To further engage students, Autodesk has also launched a global design competition called **Transformation 2030**, in collaboration with urban revitalization expert Majora Carter. Participants are tasked with envisioning a high-performance building—a community garden and culinary arts center—to replace a vacant juvenile detention facility in the South Bronx. Contestants will utilize tools like **Autodesk Green Building Studio**, **Revit**, and **Vasari** as part of their designs. Registration closes on January 1st, entries are due by April 1st, and winners will be announced on May 1st. The top prize includes an internship or cash award.
In addition to the competition, Autodesk is providing students with valuable hands-on experience through these innovative programs. By encouraging creativity and technical expertise, the company hopes to inspire the next generation of architects and engineers to tackle some of the world's most pressing environmental challenges. As the industry shifts toward more sustainable practices, initiatives like the BPA Certificate Program and Transformation 2030 play a crucial role in preparing students for future careers in green design.

These programs not only equip students with cutting-edge knowledge but also empower them to contribute meaningfully to the development of resilient, eco-friendly communities worldwide.
