STKM13C Manufacturing Process

Forging of STKM13C is typically performed at temperatures ranging from 2012°F to 2192°F. During this process, the material is heated to make it malleable and then shaped under high pressure into the desired form. Maintaining precise temperature control is essential to avoid damaging the material.

The hot rolling process involves heating STKM13C to temperatures between 2000°F and 2400°F. At this elevated temperature, the material becomes pliable and can be easily shaped. It is then passed through rollers to reduce its thickness to the desired size for specific applications.

Cold rolling improves the strength and hardness of the material through stress hardening, while maintaining a smooth surface and finish.

Casting of STKM13C involves melting the material at temperatures ranging from 2597°F to 2804°F. This process requires melting the steel in a furnace until it reaches a liquid state within the specified temperature range. Once fully molten, the material is poured into molds to form the desired shape.
