Recently, Sinopec has repeatedly made efforts to cooperate with commercial vehicle manufacturers such as Shifeng Group, CNHTC Group, Dongfeng Nissan, and Foton Motor to expand the competition to the upper reaches of automobile manufacturing. The competition for lubricants has thus been upgraded.
Sinopec's lubricant loading rate for vehicle manufacturers in China has reached 65%. However, it is clear that Sinopec’s ambitions do not stop there. Through the direct development of technologies for plastics and rubber and other petrochemical products with commercial vehicle manufacturing companies, the company then assigns or recommends petrochemical raw material suppliers to its component manufacturers. Song Yunchang, general manager of Sinopec Lubricant Subsidiary, said that through cooperation with major auto manufacturing customers, it will enhance the application range and technological level of lubricants in automotive companies, and will also take advantage of Sinopec’s resources to support the extension of automotive industry.
