Danelec receives orders for navigation data recorders for 27 container ships

This order is a continuation of the contract for the reconstruction of the fleet navigation recorder undertaken last year. Under the contract, Danelec Marine will replace the existing navigation data recorders and simplified navigation recorders (S-VDRs) on 100 Maersk Line ships with the new Danelec DM100 Voyage Recorder. It is expected that the task of updating the navigation data recorder will be completed this year.

Each new container ship built by Maersk Line will also be equipped with a Danelec Ship Company Navigation Data Logger Link Module to remotely download the Voyage Data Logger data from the onshore office using Danelec's Voyage Data Recorder OnDemand software tool.

It is reported that the navigation data recorder OnDemand is a specific data that helps the authorized onshore office to log in and set the requirements from the navigation recorder through a configuration network device (IP link). This "pull-through" remote access service will simplify onboard service calls and mandatory annual performance tests. Once the conversion task is completed, the ship management personnel (or service technicians and service companies of Danelec Shipping Company) can collect data samples and perform system diagnostics of the navigation data recorders and connections while the ship is at sea. In addition, ship managers can request an immediate response to the transmitted distance data on shore, saving time in response to accidents on board.

The Danelec DM100 Voyage Data Recorder has been certified to meet the latest maritime data recorder National Maritime Organization performance standards. The Danelec DM100 Voyage Data Logger uses Danelec's proprietary Software Advanced Protection (SWAP) technology.
