The Bosch Group has announced that it has begun construction of a new R&D and advanced engineering technology center in Renningen, Germany.
The new R&D center in Renningen will become the new base for Bosch Group's global R&D and engineering technology activities. In the next 2 years, Bosch will establish 14 new buildings for this technology center.
The total area of ​​the new R&D center is approximately 110,000 square meters, and it is estimated that the construction of this R&D center will cost 160 million euros (about 200 million US dollars).
The first staff of the R&D center (1,200 in total) will begin work in the spring of 2014 and their research will focus on materials, methods, technologies, development of new systems, components, and manufacturing processes.
