The Chinese Academy of Sciences released on December 15th: China's high-magnesium-lithium-lithium-lithium technology has been successfully industrialized, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Qinghai Provincial Government have co-hosted a national high-tech industrialization project - Lithium extraction and comprehensive utilization of resources in Qinghai Salt Lake. Industrial demonstration project passed acceptance. Our country, relying on independent innovation, has successfully broken through the world's technical problems of high-magnesium-lithium-lithium than salt lakes, and the comprehensive development and utilization of Qinghai salt lake resources will enter a higher level.
The Chaerhan Salt Lake in Qinghai and the salt lake brines in East and West Taiwan contain more than 10 million tons of lithium reserves and is the world’s largest lithium resource. Since the beginning of this century, successive research institutions and investment businesses in and outside Qinghai Province have seen the increasing use of lithium as a new type of material, and have begun to research and explore lithium extraction technology from brines in high-magnesium-lithium ratios. With the efforts of Qinghai Province, Lithium extraction from salt lakes and high-tech utilization of resources have been listed as a national special demonstration project for the western high-tech industrialization.
The demonstration project was undertaken by Qinghai Lithium Industry Co., Ltd., a holding company of Western Mining Group, and the Qinghai Salt Lake Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences provided technical support. The project was approved by the state in November 2001 and has now been fully completed and put into production. In the meantime, the project unit took Lithium Lithium's extraction and comprehensive exploitation of resources as the entry point, and carried out research work on the comprehensive utilization technology of Lithium, Potassium, and Boron resources for the characteristics of salt Lake in Dongtai, Qinghai, and completed the construction of 4 square kilometers of Yantian. With an annual output of 3,000 tons of lithium carbonate, 25,000 tons of potassium sulfate, and 2,500 tons of boric acid production facilities, qualified products have been produced and sold to the market. At the same time, they successfully developed a new method for the separation and extraction of lithium from high-magnesium-lithium salt lake brines with independent intellectual property rights, and built a production demonstration plant; enriched lithium in lithium salts, separation of magnesium and lithium in old brines, and production of lithium carbonate in salt fields. Systematic research has been conducted on the separation of large and medium-sized liquid materials and separation equipment, and a series of key technologies have been formed. Among them, high-magnesium-lithium than the salt lake brine magnesium separation technology for the international initiative.
It is reported that there has been an upsurge in the development of lithium resources in the Qarhan Salt Lake in Qinghai and Salt Lake in West and West Taiwan. Previously, Qinghai Lithium Corporation has successively built a 3,000-ton lithium carbonate production facility, Qinghai CITIC Guoan Company has built a 5,000-ton lithium carbonate production plant, and Qinghai Salt Lake Group has built a 10,000-ton-scale lithium carbonate plant. Although there are differences in the process routes, they have their advantages.
